Sofie is a legal specialist data use, exploitation and innovation. She advises data driven businesses, accelerators, social ventures, start-ups, joint research and exploitation projects.

She was US attorney commercial transactions in New York City, with Paul Weiss, and later moved to Australia, where she worked her way up the ranks to become partner with a large law firm and General Counsel of a listed telecommunications company.  Sofie returned  to The Netherlands, joined NautaDutilh and later continued her practice under the name of Van Londen Advocatuur, specialising in commercial transactions involving the use of data. She is member of the LawyerlinQ network and Ondernemende Juristen, NL’s largest network of independent legal specialists servicing national and international corporates.

Sofie grew up in The Hague and completed grammar school there. She studied and graduated law school  with a masters in Leiden and went for an additional masters at Columbia Law School in New York City, on a full-tuition waiver based on her results in Leiden.
